PTS didn't disappear.
It was rebuilt.
A working open-source PTS production network reconstructed from the historical codebase, with preserved historical balances, public verification infrastructure and a downloadable wallet now in active development.

Old bones. New infrastructure.
PTS Production preserves the historical identity and allocation data of ProtoShares / BitShares PTS while rebuilding the surrounding infrastructure for modern verification and independent operation.
HISTORY · 2013 → 2026ProtoShares began mining on 5 November 2013. It later became BitShares PTS, and the lineage moved to a DPoS-based PTS snapshot in December 2014. The current network is an independent open-source restoration and continuation — not a claim to be the original historical public mainnet.

PTS Production is an independent continuation of ProtoShares / BitShares PTS technology. It does not claim to be the historical public mainnet and does not claim continuity with the original 2013–2014 development team. The production genesis preserves the historical allocation data used for this restoration.
Bootstrap stage — documented openly.
The initial infrastructure and delegate keys are currently operated by one operator. The project documents that centralization risk publicly. The next phase is independent nodes, distributed delegate operation and outside technical review.
The network works. Now we are packaging the wallet.
The wallet core already supports encrypted wallet creation, WIF import, address verification, balance discovery, local signing, transaction validation, broadcast support and historical claim tooling. The next public milestone is a downloadable graphical desktop wallet.

The past is not lost.
It is the foundation.
Historical identity stays visible. Modern infrastructure grows around it. PTS moves forward without pretending the intervening years never happened.
